Well… you probably all knew it for a while. But I’m offically a cake geek.
I came to the realization in the middle of my combat class at the gym this past week. As I was completely about the 499th of about 5000 knees and kicks, I saw the post in front of me was wrapped in a steel that had the construction pattern… you know what I mean… kind of like a dotted chevron… ANyways. I was staring at it and trying to think of how to create that texture, without purchasing (another) texture mat. No, I don’t even have a cake coming up with that pattern in it. I’m just that much of a cake geek now. It’s really rather sad.
UNTIL. Until you get an email two days later saying that you have in fact been included on the Cake Geek magazine blog in a post filled with the most breathtaking cakes you ever did see… And there’s my sweet Tuscan buttercream cake with white sugar roses and fresh thyme trailing down, right smack dab in the middle.
So yes. It’s offically offical. I am a certified cake geek. And oh so honoured to be one 😉
